How to use the phrases

Change dos to the number of people when asking for a table. Add the place name after Estoy en. For allergies, add the exact ingredient after Tengo alergia a and ask staff to confirm the ingredients and preparation; a short phrase alone cannot confirm suitability.

At a bus stop or in a taxi

Show the written destination and confirm Torrox Costa, rather than only Torrox. Ask about the return departure before leaving. A phrase helps you ask; it does not replace checking the ticket and route.

Asking for help

For an emergency, call 112 or ask someone nearby to call. Give your exact location and follow the operator’s instructions. Save your accommodation address before going out.

A small practice plan

Choose five phrases you are likely to use: a greeting, please, a price question, the bill and your bus destination. Read them aloud before your trip and save this table for reference. Local businesses may have multilingual staff, but confirm the language rather than assuming it.
