Choose transport according to the trip, not only the cheapest ticket. A coastal shopping errand, a village visit and an airport arrival need different plans. Save your accommodation pin and confirm Torrox Costa or Torrox Pueblo explicitly when searching.

For short trips along the coast

Compare the walking route with a local bus or taxi. Check crossings, the route with shopping bags and your own walking needs. If using a local service, read the current stop information or ask the tourism office for the timetable valid that day. Do not rely on a saved timetable from a different season.

For Torrox Pueblo

Plan the journey to the village as a separate trip from the coast. Confirm the village stop, return service and the walk from the stop to your destination. If taking a taxi, request a quote and arrange how you will travel back. With a car, decide on parking before entering the destination.

For Nerja, Torre del Mar or Málaga

Use ALSA's journey search and the Málaga Transport Consortium's dated route information. The consortium lists M-363 Málaga–Torre del Mar–Hospital Vélez–Torrox. Confirm the individual stops and the specific departure; a route ending in Torrox does not prove that every departure serves your coastal stop.

Check both directions before buying an attraction ticket. Save the boarding location, whether the ticket needs a reserved departure, and the last return that suits your day. Keep an alternative return plan for a missed connection.

Málaga Airport connections

Aena confirms the airport's C1 railway on the Málaga Centro Alameda–Fuengirola line, including Málaga María Zambrano. For an onward bus, plan the rail stop at María Zambrano and the transfer to the main bus station. This rail journey is only one part of reaching Torrox Costa.

For late arrivals, several passengers or heavy luggage, compare a booked transfer with the complete rail-and-bus journey. Confirm the final drop-off address and check-in arrangements. Our separate airport guide covers the connection in more detail.

Car hire and taxis

Compare the full cost, including parking, child seats, luggage space and your return. Confirm pickup and drop-off instructions with the provider. A hire car can suit several excursions, while occasional taxis may suit a holiday mainly spent at the coast; choose according to your own itinerary.

A quick check before departure

  • Exact origin and destination, including Costa or Pueblo.
  • Date, valid timetable and the boarding side of the road.
  • Ticket and payment requirements.
  • Access needs, luggage and children’s arrangements.
  • Return departure and a saved destination pin.
